MCA Urges Fairfax Supervisors to Address Rising Pension Costs

Published on 8/21/2017
MCA wrote the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors urging the Board to address the rising costs of the County’s three pension plans for County employees.  MCA has issued resolutions over the past several years, most recently on January 4, 2017 and April 5, 2017, addressing the risks of not taking action with respect to the pension plans. MCA is concerned that a failure to reform the plans would have potential consequences for the County’s financial condition and its ability to fund County employee raises, competitive teacher salaries, and high priority, quality of life services for members of our community.  Here is a link to the letter:  MCA Letter to Fairfax BOS re Pension Costs (Aug. 2017)
