About the CommitteeThe Education and Youth Committee deals with issues affecting young people including schools, recreational activities, and library facilities. The Committee reviews the School Budget and works with the Budget and Taxation Committee to formulate a recommended position for the MCA Board to consider. PTA's at the schools have liaison members on this committee. The Committee sponsors the annual Teen Character Awads and sponsors McLean History instruction in McLean elementary schools,The Committee meets on the third Wednesday of the month at the McLean Community Center unless otherwise announced. |
